Raúl Soto
Originally from Sinaloa, Raúl Soto grew up in an agricultural region of Valle del Fuerte where he began his training in the culinary industry. In 2007, he began studying Culinary Arts in Los Cabos. He has participated in competitions, becoming a semifinalist as the Cook of the Year in 2010 and coming in second place in 2019. He is currently teaching at a cooking school with more than 100 students in his classes.
Remby Rubio
Born in La Paz, Baja California, Remby Rubio studied at the local college for 3 years and increased his experience by working in the best hotels in Cabo next to the greatest chefs. Rubio has currently been with The Villa Group Resorts for 3 years. Together with his team, he has led Neptune Seafood Restaurant to be recognized as one of the best in the destination, always cooking quality products using perfect execution.
Giulio Lupori
Born in Tuscany, Giulio Lupori has been attracted to the kitchen since he was a child hanging around his grandmother while she prepared traditional Italian recipes. He worked in Milan at Dalla Zia Restaurant and 18 years ago he finally moved to Cabo, where he opened La Galleria and Fish & Grill restaurants. Since 2016, he is proudly part of The Villa Group at Bella California Italian Restaurant.
Denise Portillo
Trained at Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in LA, award-winning Chef Denise Portillo is widely known as an organic cuisine thought leader. She was named Culinary Woman of the Year by the National Latina Business Women’s Association LA and has appeared on the Food Network’s “Chef Wanted” with Anne Burrell. She was also recently featured on Vista LA as a top leading “Plant-based chef.”
Miguel Baltazar
Miguel Baltazar trained at the Culinary Institute of Mexico and the Lycée Hôtelière Paul Augier in Nice, France, where he worked at the Hôtel Le Negresco under the guidance of chef Jean-Denis Rieubland, a chef awarded with 2 Michelin stars. Upon his return to Mexico, Baltazar specialized in seafood and the “farm to your table” kitchen. Miguel has been appointed as Executive Chef for the opening of the Hotel Hacienda Carretas in Querétaro in 2020.
