COVID seems to be settling down, but questions regarding travel vaccine requirements are on the rise. Distinguishing between the countries that don’t require COVID vaccinations for travel and those that do can be quite confusing, so we’ve compiled a list of questions regarding everything from the COVID testing requirement for travel to Mexicoto the Canada travel restrictions update so that you can plan your vacation with ease.

What are the countries that don’t require COVID vaccinations for travel?

Many countries are lifting restrictions for vaccinated travelers, but this can still mean complications for those who either aren’t fully vaccinated or those who live in a country where vaccinations aren’t readily available for the public. There are a few countries that don’t require COVID vaccinations for travel, such as Mexico, Greece, Belize, Costa Rica, Cuba, and France. However, many of these countries require proof of a negative COVID test for non-vaccinated visitors.

Do I need the COVID vaccine to travel to Mexico?

No, there is no Covid testing requirement for travel to Mexico or travel vaccine requirement when entering the country. Visitors must fill out a health questionnaire before entering the country, however, and they must not show any signs or symptoms of a COVID infection.

Is there a COVID testing requirement for travel to Mexico?

Mexico has no testing requirements for those entering the country, however, if you are planning to return to the U.S. or another country from Mexico, you may need to test before you leave. Major destinations around the country have a multitude of testing sites so that tourists can quickly and easily get their tests and their results.

Can tourists travel to USA now?

The United States has instituted travel vaccine requirements for all non-citizens and non-immigrants arriving in the country. If you plan to enter the U.S., you must be fully vaccinated, meaning you’ve completed either one dose of the one-dose vaccines accepted by the country, or two doses of the two-dose vaccines. You must also present proof of a negative COVID test taken within 24 hours of your departure into the country.

What is the Canada travel restrictions update?

The recent Canada travel restrictions update, issued on March 17, 2022, made it slightly easier for Canadians to travel. Fully vaccinated travelers no longer need to test before entering the country, and they no longer need to quarantine. They may be asked on a random basis to take a COVID-19 molecular test, however. In order to enter Canadian territory, citizens and foreign nationals older than 5 must upload proof of being fully vaccinated to ArriveCAN before being admitted to the country.
